COVID-19 in Practice

by | Jul 25, 2021 | Firm News |

As more courts reopen for trials and my litigation practice returns to normal, I have noticed that virtually every case I’m working on has some aspect of COVID-19 attached to it. For sure, the pandemic has affected business and employment relationships, and the fallout will be felt for years to come. It will be interesting to see how judges and juries react to legal defenses and business justifications predicated upon the pandemic. I have found myself struggling to recall exactly how the pandemic affected business life in the early stages of the pandemic, as opposed to after the economy first re-opened and as opposed to today. Regardless, I look forward to the day, likely far in the future, when COVID-19 evidence is a distant memory of cases past.
