My law practice has evolved over many years to the point where I now represent fewer clients, but the matters involve substantially larger monetary disputes. Because of the amounts at issue, there are many more strategic considerations that are involved in these legal disputes. I enjoy these strategy sessions, which materially affect the contours of the litigation that often ensues. It takes time, experience and good communication with the client to get the best results. The best time for strategic litigation planning is at the outset of the case – and then constantly throughout the case. If you set a course and blindly follow it, you are setting a course for disaster.
