For the love of the game

Athletes often talk about doing things just for the love of the game. Why can’t attorneys do the same? A few months ago, I tried a fairly simple case in Philadelphia involving the ownership and possession of a client’s residence. For me it was a very small matter relative to my practice, but to the client and her family it was incredibly important. It soon became apparent to me that the right reason for handling this case had nothing to do with earning a living. The client needed help and that my motivation for handling the case. I tried the case for the love of the game. This week the Court ruled in my client’s favor. If you believe in Karma, there’s your proof.
