Winning

by | Jun 8, 2024 | Firm News |

Winning and losing is a part of the business and if you want to be a trial lawyer you’d better get used to both. There are big wins and little wins. Either way, it’s the best part of the job. Most professions have nothing similar. But litigation is adversarial, and for every case that I handle there is a skilled and determined opponent trying to thwart my efforts – to make me lose. That’s why it is satisfying, and exhilarating, to win a case. When clients come to me and describe a problem, my job is to find a solution using the legal process. It may take days or weeks to achieve that solution, but more often it takes years. That day may never come. But when it does, when the case is concluded and my client wins, I remember why I love being a trial lawyer.
