A Week In The Life

by | Nov 6, 2021 | Firm News |

So, you want to be a trial lawyer? This week I worked on a dozen complex litigation matters. Each client wants, and of course deserves, the highest level of attention and care. I drafted new lawsuits, responded to pending motions, served discovery, took depositions, spent hours on the phone counseling and strategizing, and still found time to sign up two new cases. It was a busy and stressful week, and next week will be more of the same.

So, you want to be a trial lawyer? Let me tell you about my favorite part. Winning. I love winning. Most of the cases I worked on this week involve claims for hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars. But the highlight of my week was winning two tiny matters, one for $175 and the other for $1,050. Each case required me to use my experience, skill and passion as an advocate, just as if I were fighting for millions of dollars. Perhaps next week I will win a bigger case, but this weekend I will rejoice in the satisfaction that simply comes with a win.
